Red Box Games 2011 Painting Contest

Although there are about 14 days left for the end of the contest here is some short info on this. WAMP and RBG are throwing one of their contests again this year following the success of the 2010 one.

It is really simple to participate. You just need to be a member of WAMP and paint any of the RBG miniatures that are available online through RBG's Store.

The prizes for the 3 winners are pretty good actually:
1st - $100 Redbox Games credit
2nd - $75 credit
3rd $50 credit
The deadline for members is the 25th of November and WAMP supporters have 5 more days at their disposal in order to complete their minis.

A Status Update and a little WIP

Hello everyone.
 It has been a realy hectic year this one with regards to painting miniatures. There are some minis left over unattanded for quite a long time, and these will need my attention soon enough.
In any case I am back again and hopefully in the next months, unfinished projects will be completed and new ones will start in order to keep the creative juices flowing.
One of the projects left in their middle is this model of Njal Stormcaller, the greatest of all the runepriests of the Space Wolves. Here is a picture of it. There will be an update in a couple of days regarding Njal.

Storm of Magic Chimera WIP #2

Here is a little update on the Chimera model. I have proceeded with painting. I still need to apply more highlights to it. Anyways, enjoy the pics :)

Storm of Magic Chimera WIP

Hello everyone. Long time no see. I am starting a new WIP for the Chimera model and I am going to post updates of it here.
Here is the first picture of the bundle. The model is green-stuffed mainly on the heads, as they are assembled from 2 pieces each that needed a bit of GS. I used the Vallejo grey primer to prime the model and get it ready for painting. It seems to hold paint quite well, and it has a resin-like component to help promote paint adhesion if I recall correctly.
I think of getting the colour scheme similar to the one on the front picture on the box as seen on the bottom. What do you guys think?

Blood Angels Chaplain Completed.
